Denuo has successfully defended the interests of Skyeng online school and its subsidiary Q LLC in a dispute over the rights to participation interest in Q LLC. The lawsuit was filed by the ex-wife of one of the former participants of Q LLC.
Beginning in 2021, this dispute spanned two court proceedings and concerned a spouse contesting a participant’s withdrawal from a company without spousal consent, seeking to invalidate both the withdrawal and subsequent transactions. The case has become significant for forming the judicial practice of challenging participant withdrawals from limited liability companies in the absence of spousal consent.
