Denuo launches offices in Georgia and Uzbekistan

Denuo, a full-service law firm founded in 2022 by the partners of DLA Piper’s CIS practice, opens new offices in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Tbilisi, Georgia to service the local markets as part of a strategic regional expansion.

Denuo’s Tashkent office

Uzbekistan is among the most dynamic markets in Central Asia where Denuo already has many valued clients, both international and Russian.

The Tashkent office will be led by partner Feruz Fidaev, who has been heading the Energy and Natural Resources practice at Denuo. As one of the most experienced lawyers in the Russian oil and gas sector, Feruz also has unique understanding of Uzbekistan and the broader region.

Denuo is also pleased to announce the appointment of counsel Rustam Akramov, a commercial and corporate lawyer with an outstanding academic and private practice background. Prior to joining Denuo, Rustam headed the Commercial practice at Grata International law firm in Tashkent. Rustam is an acting judge in the arbitration court under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

Denuo’s Tbilisi office

Georgia is a mature legal market well-known to Denuo from decades of legacy operations. By setting up the Tbilisi office, Denuo intends to provide on-the-ground support to its existing international clientele as well as to build a competitive local practice.

The office will be headed by partner Grigol Sidamonidze, a prominent legal practitioner who focuses on corporate, commercial and tax law. Prior to joining Denuo, Grigol worked for DGN Consulting, PKF and BDO Legal consulting firms and for Georgian Water and Power energy company. He is a member of the Georgian Bar Association.
