Maria advises global and Russian clients on corporate and commercial law. A significant part of Maria’s practice is focused on advising companies of a Russian nuclear corporation in connection with the implementation of various projects around the world.

Maria has a wealth of experience in assisting clients in public courts with commercial, antitrust and intellectual property disputes as well as investment arbitrations.

  • Advising a Russian energy company on a broad range of issues arising in connection with the implementation of projects in Bolivia, China, Egypt, Finland, Hungary, India and Kazakhstan
  • Assisting sellers with a transaction relating to the sale of a group of retail companies to a strategic investor at a price not exceeding USD150 million
  • Conducting comprehensive due diligence of the operations of Russian manufacturing companies and companies operating in the field of retail, advertising and online marketing within the framework of contemplated M&A transactions
  • Participating in an international arbitration administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in connection with a claim brought by a Russian foundation under a bilateral investment treaty
  • Advising an international tobacco company on various issues arising in the course of its commercial operations and drafting service documents in relation to cases administered by the Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and judicial bodies
  • Representing several car manufactures in Russian judicial bodies in connection with claims seeking the protection of exclusive rights to trademarks and the prohibition of the sale of products by unauthorised importers
  • Representing a household product manufacturer in disputes regarding the protection of exclusive rights initiated by a competitor company in several courts all over Russia
